Stepping Up: Clinic Provides Free Monthly Podiatry Services to the Unhoused

The Order of Malta Clinic, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County, recently hosted a free podiatry clinic, offering foot care and support to those experiencing homelessness in Oakland.

A dedicated team of 12 volunteers, including a licensed podiatrist, addressed a range of needs from routine care to chronic issues related to diabetes and circulation - conditions that can deeply impact mobility and overall heath. In addition to receiving onsite care, all 15 patients that attended were given a pair of refurbished shoes and new socks, to help maintain mobility and overall foot health.

To support this important work, the Clinic welcomes donations of gently used sneakers for men and women, which can be dropped off at the Order of Malta Clinic, located at 2121 Harrison St., Suite 120.

The next podiatry clinic is scheduled for December 11 and will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul of Alameda County located at 2272 San Pablo Ave. To learn more or contribute, please reach out to info@orderofmaltaclinic.com.
