Stepping Towards Better Health: Podiatry Clinic Update

On December 11, the Order of Malta Clinic, in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul of Alameda County, hosted its second podiatry clinic of the year, providing essential foot care to those experiencing homelessness in Oakland.

A dedicated team of volunteers, including a licensed podiatrist, treated more than 20 patients, addressing a variety of foot health needs—from routine care to chronic conditions affecting mobility and overall health. Each patient received new socks, care packages, and a refurbished pair of shoes to support their ongoing foot health and mobility.

Oakland Councilmember Carroll Fife was also onsite to see first-hand the Clinic’s impact on community members and to celebrate the great work being done to improve health and well-being in Oakland.

Interested in supporting our efforts? Donations of gently used sneakers for men and women are always appreciated and can be dropped off at the Order of Malta Clinic at 2121 Harrison St., Suite 120.
